Valley Growler’s Public House

Coming in 2018: Happy Valley Public House Happy Valley Business Owners Ami and Brian Shannon to Open Mixed Use Complex Featuring Portland’s Best Beverages and Restaurants

Look no further for your next beer destination, your one stop shop for local drinks, food, and entertainment is here. Ami and Brian Shannon, owners of Valley Growlers Neighborhood Taphouse, are partnering with Glennie Property Investments, Inc. to begin development on Happy Valley Public House, a mixed-use complex which will house a larger, second Valley Growlers alongside local Portland restaurants, a private dining center, and impressive outdoor spaces.

This 22,000 square foot building will boast local, family-friendly favorites BUNK Sandwiches, Pizza Jerk, and Mi Mero Mole; a coffee shop serving locally roasted beans and pastries from Lauretta Jean’s; and The Whiskey Kitchen, a whiskey bar and restaurant. Also included will be a rentable private dining space for fabulous in-house or private events, three decks (both covered and uncovered), dog-friendly areas with heated benches, fire pits, and room for lawn games, all to the tune of regularly-scheduled live music.

All four restaurants also plan to serve brunch on weekends, accompanied by mimosas and bloody marys, courtesy of Valley Growlers.

While the Public House is the anchor tenant of this development, two other buildings grace the property as well: Heidi Rowan’s new Allstate Agency location and another mixed-use building containing twenty-six high-end apartments, 17,000 square feet of retail, and an underground parking garage for residents.

Ami and Brian envision the development being somewhere Happy Valley residents can gather to enjoy the Portland vibe of their favorite restaurants, beverages, and entertainment in town and under one roof. All this while providing the great beers, ciders, wines, and cocktails that have helped make Valley Growlers a community favorite since 2013. It’s truly a project both for and by the people of Happy Valley, who the Shannons say helped make it possible via their investments of money, time, and input.

Dalke Construction and architects from AC+CO will begin work on the development next month. The groundbreaking party and ceremony will take place at the property on Sunday, July 16th from 4:00-9:00pm. It will include food, drinks, music, and games.
